The HAVOCA Pen Pal Community has been set up to encourage survivors to talk to each other, offering support, advice and friendship (over 18s only).

First of all you need to log in as a member.  Even if you belong to the other HAVOCA forum you will still need to join this one as well.  Feel free to use the same login information, but you will still need to physically join.

Each member is then required to 'start a new topic' in the Members Section of this forum.  There are a few examples for you to follow but you should try and limit your advert to a few paragraphs, but be sure to include; age, sex and a brief introduction.

Anybody can view the details in the Members Section, so it advisable that each member edits their profile not to allow others to see their email address - anonimity is then guarenteed.

If someone wants to reply to the advert and the member has hidden their email address, then you can still leave a message by either replying to their advert on the message board or by sending that member a private message by clicking on their forum nickname.

Once a suitable level of trust has been built up individuals can disclose their contact details to one another and continue their friendship away from the forum.
