hi im new on this, i was abused by my father from the age of 7 up untill i was 19 and a half. then when he tried to touch my at that point 7yr old niece i went to the police and made a statement.
it took two yrs to get to court and he got 3yrs for abusing me and my older sister who i found out he had abused aswell. he got off with the rape charges. also we lived abroad for bit so they couldnt charge him for what he did there.
he has since appealed and annoyingly got bail untill his appeal this has made my flash backs worse but i have decided to face my past.
Although my best friends and my fiancee is supporting me i could use someone who has been through it to talk to i feel scared and alone.
Just read your message. I felt i had to send you a message you are so brave i wish i to could have taken my abuser to court but he killed him self as he abused so many of us before we could take him to court. You are a strong person you went through court the first time with the help of your best friend and fiancee, now you have us on here as well.
